When Purchasing a Touch screen TV it can be a little complicated to know all the terms and important things to take note of. Such as Resolution, Size, Touch screen features, Cables, Smart features and more... ,

However, i made a quick overview of what you need to know to get the best option that suites your needs.

What to know about Touch screen TVs?

I don't go into deep details here, because i have already provided you with the best options which cover almost everything you could be worried about.

But make sure to read this part before planning your purchase option, it is very relevant.

1. Multi touch vs single touch

Assuming you are here for specifically the Touch, it makes sense that this will be the first option on the list.

When looking for a touch screen you need to take two things into consideration.

1.Does the device allow for only 1 person touching at a time? or does it allow for multiple touches?

It is important to note that, a 1 or 2 touch point device will make it hard to perform some functions, such as enlarging the screen, or scrolling up and down using the touch function.

Also, with only 1 or 2 touch points it means that only 1 or 2 persons can work on the screen at the same time.

Which can be perfectly fine.

The 10 touch function will allow for ease of use of multiple people and make it easier to controll all functions.

If you have a little to spare in your budget, i would opt for at least 3 to 4 touch points in your device.

2. What type of touch device do i need exactly? Do i have to press hard on the device to activate the touch function?

On some devices the touch screen function is activated depending on how hard you press on the screen, on others it connects the circuit based on where you touch it.

In this list of monitors, you don't have to worry about any of the options having touch problems, and you don't have to press too hard to activate the movement.

Except for option number 3 (the ViewSonic TD2455), for this monitor it uses heat and different waves to conduct the touch function.

Therefore, if you are going for this option you need to keep in mind that, you don't want your View sonic monitor to be in an area with sunlight.

If the sun shines on it, it will think you are pressing on it.

2. Resolution

Screen resolution is important.

You need to know 2 things.

1. Pixels

Lately TVs have been starting to come out with 4K resolution instead of 1080p.

I will explain the difference in an example.

Have you ever opened Paint and tried to draw something, and then noticed that the line wasn't smooth at all? or that you made a circle and the circle almost looked like a square?

Well, although some of the reason might just be your drawing skills.

Ouch.

The main reason is that Paint doesnt allow you to have many small concentrated dots flowing with each other. It has big squares that can stack beside each other making it hard to have smooth lines.

Mine craft is a perfect example of how each unit is big, making everything look very pixelated (low resolution)

Imagine this on a higher scale,

1080p means that there are that many pixels in your screen, with 4K, you get 4 more pixels for each area. Making it so much more clear and reduces hard edges dramatically.

1080p is still a good option if you are on a budget and it will serve you for years to come.

However 4K is the new trend and is slowly taking over.

There is an 8K option. You can always dream about that option.

2.The difference between LCD,LED and OLED

For touch screens, there are no OLED touch screens available in the market (OLED is the best version of quality streaming).

Now that leaves us with LCD and LED.

As for LCD, it is very out dated and is slowly getting forgotten. I would suggest you stay away from LCD.

Leaving us with LED, LED stands for "light emitting diodes"

LED is now being used as the standard TV resolution.

So when purchasing a touch screen, try find an LED one (of course the ones in this guide are LED).

If you are planning on getting a different TV that isn't touch screen specific.

3.What can the screen do?

You might want to check if the screen can flip vertically , has speakers, has enough ports and is a Smart screen or not.

For this list:

Option 1 and 5 can flip

Option 1,2 and 5 have speakers

Option 1 and 2 are smart screens

4. Size

When buying a TV or monitor,

Make sure to know how the size you are gunning for will measure in the room you want to put it in.

You will have to take out your measuring tape buddy.

So you don't have to do any calculations.

Keep in mind that the exterior diameters (bezels) of each TV is different, and therefore it's better to apply a room of 1 to 3 inches width and 5 to 6 inches height to be in the safe zone

5. Monitor? or all in one device?

For your perfect choice, you need to know exactly what you need this for.

If you are willing to give up some streaming capabilities from Hulu and standard TV channels, then you will find a much cheaper choice by going for option 3.

With option 3 you will still be able to stream everything you would like.

You just have to connect the monitor to your laptop.
