The first most important thing when deciding on a solar light for your garden, you will have to decide on what amount of brightness you are looking for. If you are looking for a bright lighting, then you will have to focus on how big your yard is, how many Lumens each light provides,
Lets start with answering the terminoligy:
Lumens are a term which represents the amount of light emitted per second in a unit of distance. The more lumens a light has, the brighter it is.
Basically, for every 10 square feet of area, you will be able to light it up with 1000 to 2000 lumens.
So if you have 50 Square feet then that is 10,000 to 11,000 lumens.
This is considering that the light is in the middle of the yard, so if it isn't then you will need an extra 30% amount of lumens.
Basically, when you see a light, it might not necessarily be only 1 light inside, but an array of lights, each one would be called an LED light, which is short for light emitting diode. The more LED lights a light has, the more total brightness it will provide.
OK, so basically, you don't have to think about too much when looking at brightness. Forget the LED part, and focus on the lumens, because the more LED lights, you will have more lumens. In general, the fancy decoration lights provide you with lumens of 2 to 20. That is because the goal of these lights, s just to be seen at far distances, but not to provide light to see other objects and areas.
If you are looking to see more areas and objects then you should be going for the options that provide you with a total of 1000 lumens and higher.
Again this depends on how large the area you want to illuminate is.
The amount of hours of light you should expect from a solar light for best performance, depends on where you live, your weather conditions, and how much night time you have during your winter times.
It also depends on if you would like your lights to be active during the whole night, or just until past midnight.

For durability, most solar lights these days are made out of ABS material,meaning that the products themselves are quite sturdy and will be able to survive for longer amounts of time. But the lights and batteries might not be able to survive as long.
Generally, the products that i have listed are all quite sturdy in terms of light life and battery life, so let's hope you get a perfect product that survives for long duration.
Battery life can also be a crucial part. After all, the whole reason you have the light, is to make it visible to either yourself or others.
Most options except for a couple in this list, will be able to provide you with enough light to survive the whole night.
